Ernakulam: The new Face of Kerala
Fort Kochi – This is part of a handful of water-bound regions toward the south-west of the mainland Kochi, and collectively known as Old Kochi or West Kochi. The place marks its own unique beauty with the cheena vala and the serene backwaters of the Kochi kayal or the Vembanad Lake.
Dutch Palace – A palace known under the name of Dutch built by Portuguese and presented to the Raja of Kochi in AD 1555. That is the old building in Mattanchery which is now renovated as a museum.
Synagogue – The synagogue is one of the oldest in the Commonwealth and was built around 1568. The main attraction of this Jew church is its architecture and the interior decorator pieces.
Kandampara – With the gurgling of the Pooyamkutty river, the place looks just wonderful with its utmost serene beauty. The Pindimedu waterfalls, deep inside the evergreen woods is the main attraction of the place.
Kuzhupiily beach – the most stunning beach in Kochi that gives an exquisite view of the water bed laying in the lap of the golden sands amidst those light tightly packed casuariana trees.
